Truck Convoy for Wishes -- Gettysburg

Thanks to all who came out for our annual Truck Convoy for Wishes in Gettysburg, PA, on Sunday, May 6, 2012! Around 120 trucks and 70 wish families came to this year's event. Several of the 120 trucks that participated in this year's event. The trucks make their way along the route escorted by police motorcycles. Honk for wishes! Many onlookers watch the convoy in progress.
Chief Mike Weigand, who handles the police detail for the event and helps plan the route, is in middle shaking hands with wish Hundreds of attendees enjoy the activities. Sherri Keller, convoy organizer, is in the middle with Rhein Buchbinder on the left and Sherry Buchbinder on the right. Rhein and Sherry are Make-A-Wish dog Doc Barker's owners. Truck Convoy for Wishes Organizer Sherri Keller (left, holding check) presents the $55,000 in proceeds to Make-A-Wish York Regional Manager Ann Waltman.  Employees of S&H Express, a sponsor of the convoy, were also present for the check presentation.
