Adlai Stevenson Elementary School

Adlai Stevenson Elementary School in Holiday Park held a Make-A-Wish Jog-A-Thon that raised a total of $6,237 for local children with life-threatening medical conditions. Close to 300 students took time from their recess to walk and run laps in support of the Make-A-Wish Foundation.  The students walked and ran over 2,000 miles! An assembly was part of the Adlai Stevenson Elementary School fundraiser. Students were dressed up in Halloween outfits for the jog-a-thon and assembly, which took place right before the Oct. 31st holiday. Adlai Stevenson held a McTeacher’s night at McDonalds on November 10, 2010, and had all their students come in to buy food and boss them around for a change!  The teachers raised around $355. Busy at work for the Make-A-Wish Foundation! Would you like anything with your sweet tea?
